			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tulsa made the list of the Top 50 Bike-Friendly Cities across the US.</p>
<p>This is a major Kudos for Tulsa.   Some of the things that contribute to making the list are:<br />
Segregated bicycle lanes<br />
Municipal bike racks<br />
Diverse bike culture</p>
<p>Tulsa came in at # 35.  Pretty good for a big spread out southern city!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Green Bag Lunch (Tulsa) in June will focus on green technology.  Joe Quickle will talk about how green tech is environmentally friendly, how it&#8217;s made, designed and used and how that correlates to conservation. </p>
<p>The Green Bag Lunch is the fourth Friday of every month (11:30 to 1) and takes place at the Kendall Whittier Public Library, 21 South Lewis (1st and Lewis). </p>
<p>The purpose of the lunches is provide information to the public and professionals information on topics related to green building, disaster resistant construction, and sustainable living.  </p>
<p>This Event is FREE to attend and bring your own lunch. </p>
<p>Tulsa Partners, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that uses public, private and nonprofit sector partnerships to build a disaster-resistant and sustainable community.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hey all you wind energy enthusiasts. There&#8217;s a new wind energy educators workshop coming up soon and locally!</p>
<p>The teachers workshop is being held April 10, 2010 (8:30‐4:00) at the Community College in Tulsa.</p>
<p>Wind has captured our imagination for eons.  You can learn more about wind and introduce your your minds to the science behind  this fast growing energy resource.   </p>
<p>The workshop is FREE. It&#8217;s just ONE day and is designed to appeal to middle/high school science and technical education teachers interested in renewable energy, physics, engineering and design. </p>
<p>No knowledge of wind energy is required to attend the course.</p>
<p>Participants will learn the basic principles behind wind energy and how to introduce students to wind energy concepts using standards‐based activities in an engaging, hands‐on manner. This course includes a tour of the DMI wind turbine tower manufacturing plant in Tulsa.</p>
<p>Over $75 worth of classroom materials and a comprehensive curriculum package are included free of charge in the course. Space is limited to the first 30 teachers that sign up. You can register online at http://www.kidwind.org</p>
