A few years ago, I had the water heater put out in the garage. That gave me an extra closet. The sacrifice? That made the water from the hot water heater have to travel further to get to the shower, hence, a longer wait.
There’s a new product on the market that will solve that problem. It’s made by Waterpik and its called Ecoflow. Not only is it a low-flow showerhead that uses technology to deliver a spray that is comparable to a regular showerhead, it uses less water. Just 1.5 gallons per minute, unlike a normal flow showerhead that uses 2.5 gallons a minute.
What makes this showerhead different from other low flow showerheads? It has a water pause feature that allows you to pause the water flow while waiting for the hot water to finally arrive. When you turn on your shower and the cold water starts coming out, and coming out and coming out, and you’re waiting, well that’s when this new smart showerhead shows it’s best feature! Once the incoming water temperature reaches 95 degrees, the flow will slow to a trickle. So then, when you step into the shower, turn the valve to release the hot water and you’re all ready to go! HOT WATER!
The price? The new Ecoflow model showerheads start at around $20! Save hot water and money too! Whoo hoo!
