One Oklahoma City firm has gone to the wind. Eco Express Car Wash has built a wind turbine to help provide electrical assistance. The Windspire turbine is 30 feet tall, propeller-less and designed to grab the wind and turn it into power with a vertical design. It’s unobtrusive and touted to generate a full kilowatt.

The overall cost was around ten grand, but, that money will quickly be recouped in energy savings.
