The Oklahoma Deposit Beverage Container Recycling Act has been introduced in both the State House (HB 2916) and Senate (SB 1896).

Such a bill would promote recycling.

As a child I remember the Sunday drive to Grandma’s house. We’d stop every so often and one of us would hop out of the car and pick up a soda bottle. By the time we got back from Grandmas we usually had enough to turn in in order to get everyone a drink.

Sure there was litter then, but there were plently of enterprising people ready and eager to ‘jump outta the car’ to retrieve what amounted to ‘free’ money.

Any program that aids in the recycling effort is a good program.
