How’s this for a water saving idea? In Australia, where every drop of water is precious, comes this new fangled bathroom toilet with a small wash basin built into the top of the holding tank. Every time you wash your hands, the excess water goes into the holding tank. When you flush it, it refills with water first from the holding tank.
It’s a great idea. Might be a little ackward to actually use. I mean you’d have to straddle the bowl to be comfortable at the sink.
A better idea might be a simple gravity fed system that caught the excess water from the regular bathroom sink. The water could then flow into a normal sized toilet reservoir. Shoot, you could even rig up the shower to do the same, although that water might have more soap and suds in it.
I’m all for saving water any way we can.
