I saw mention today of a vertical axis wind generator and thought that such a wind device would go great at my country place.
The vertical models don’t need to be placed 80 feet in the air, in fact, they can be mounted right on your rooftop.
So I went searching for information. I found some wind charts that would show the average wind speed in my area but could not find any prices.
I visited wind dealer after wind dealer and was really surprised that they keep their prices a secret.
How are you supposed to know ‘if’ such a system is in your budget without calling a salesperson?
I’m shelving the idea, at least for now, until I find a wind generator site that has plenty of information available.
