Late last year a teen relative lost their cell phone and asked for a replacement as their Christmas gift. I was told it had to be either specific to their phone carrier or an unlocked phone.
I had no idea what that meant!
Being the green person that I am I went searching for used phone as her replacement. I scoured bulletin boards and auction sites to no avail.
I looked online and was surprised at the price structure appointed to used cell phones. Then I found it. A replacement phone, suitable for her carrier, affordable and as an added plus, it was available in pink.
I ordered it and I wrapped it up as a gift. Of course, she knew what it was and opened it quickly. She was both pleased and disappointed. I think she thought she was gonna get a fancy phone that did everything under the sun. After the initial shock that her gift wasn’t exactly high end, she resolved to using it, and use it she did.
