Global Wind Day 2010

Could it be that the day is bigger in Europe than here in the US?
Brussels celebrated by planting a huge blade upright in the EU quarter. Much like a monolith- it stands tall in the square, a reminder to everyone that wind power is growing.
Costner’s Device
Monday, June 28th, 2010Kevin Costner’s device, which in it’s most basic form, is a giant centrifuge.
Costner has invested $20 million and the better part of 15 years in development. Ocean Therapy Solutions’ device draws in thousands of gallons of water, and removes 99% of the oil from the mix. The device has proved effective at processing 128,000 BPD.
