San Diego Souvenir

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Aw, the red tile rooflines, the trolleys and the fishing piers on the harbor conjure up an inner vision of the peace and beauty found in San Diego.

Just one visit is all it will take for you to become so enthralled with the local scenery that you’ll be ready to pack up your whole family and move. But reality frequently settles us back down and we decide to just enjoy our time away from home.

You can see practically the whole city from a vantage point at the Point Loma Lighthouse and be sure to make a little time to visit the farmers markets and the museums. (Museums are free on Tuesdays!)

You must make time to eat the famous chicken pot pie. It’s a San Diego tradition.

Hope you drove a SUV to the city because San Diego is also the home of Trade Wind Imports. What are you going to take home from there? Just the biggest souvenir in the world! The perfect bathroom vanity for your home.

There are so many different styles to choose from. You’ll find sleek modern bathroom vanities, double or single sink models, tiny to large, antique and traditional, even glass, or cherry or topless.

What’s a topless vanity? The topless ones allow you to use your own topper. For instance lets say you chose to do your bathroom in natural sandstone in the shower and the floor. You can choose a topless model and have the same natural sandstone fitted to your new vanity. Perfect!

This is my favorite. It goes nicely with my ‘western’ style bath.

Their premier collections of vanities are made with handpicked solid hardwoods and no expense was spared in their creation. They are truly the best vanities money can buy.

These woods are kiln dried in small batches insuring proper drying. This prevents cracking and warping. The premier collection also includes a thicker stone top, sealed to perfection to prevent any future marring and stains. They also take care in the final product by hand staining, or hand painting and employ at 15 layer sealing and finishing process. These vanities are made to last!

Didn’t drive to San Diego? No worries, you can have your new vanity shipped directly to your home.

No Hot Water

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

“Honey, there’s no hot water!”

Those words can place fear in even the strongest men.

There are several things you can check when you hear those awful words, but nine times out of ten, you know what the problem is, your hot water heater kicked the bucket.

Now what do you do?

In a perfect world, you would ‘plan’ to replace a water heater, then you’d go and research the different kinds and styles to determine exactly which unit is the best for your home and your circumstances.

Sometimes though, when a crisis arises it’s time to call a professional.

When you call a water heater professional there are a few things you should expect. You should expect fast service, competent installation, quality choices and someone that handles any necessary permits for you.

Your new hot water heater will undoubtedly be far superior in energy savings compared to your old tank. Look for the highest efficiency and highest recovery tank you can afford. The only thing worse than “Honey, there’s no hot water!” is hearing that same phrase AFTER you bought a new one. Why would that happen? Because you didn’t buy a big enough unit. A professional will be able to help you choose the right size unit for your uses.

Today, you can choose the typical upright tank style run by gas or electricity but many homeowners are now opting for the newer tankless tanks. Tankless units heat on demand. This means you can wash dishes and take a shower at the same time, maybe even do a load of laundry! Up to date information about tankless water heaters

As an added bonus, your area ‘may’ have tax incentives when you upgrade your hot water heater.

If you’re in Oregon, Washington state or California and you’re in the market for a new hot water heater, be sure to Visit FastWaterHeater.com . (There’s also a branch in San Francisco.) San Francisco water heater company.

Replacing your old hot water heater with a new energy efficient model is a good thing for your pocketbook ‘and’ the environment.
