Pot Filler

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Earlier this year I got new kitchen cabinet doors. It’s make a world of difference in how my kitchen looks. Of course, when you change ‘one’ thing, it means that you end up changing more. Or at least wanting more changes.

I want a pot filler.

They are actually quite old in design, but becoming more of a part of the modern kitchen, at least kitchens where people actually cook. It’s a water faucet, with a swing arm that resides over your stove. Look at this one, isn’t it grand?

It’s the ultimate in kitchen decadance.

It’s not going to happen for me because the wall behind my stove is solid concrete. I’m not likely to find a plumber who’d be willing to tackle that job, at least in ‘my’ budget. But, as long as I can dream…. Wouldn’t it be nice?

Nature Walk

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I took a break today from all things and just walked around the place. Let nature smile on me.

See, nature smiles on us, everyday…

The red leaves of the sumac really stand out in front of the sycamore.

The persimmons are ready to eat. I bet the deer fill the woods at night around these trees.

Weekends are made for unwinding and enjoying nature.

What’d you do this weekend?

Organic Foods & Weight

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Can eating organic foods help you lose weight?

Sure they can.

Why?

Because anyone with enough interest in the nutritional value of their foods to finally learn to seek out and purchase organic foods, is going to become acutely aware of how much better for them the organic foods are.

Once they become aware of that, the next step is noticing how much they’re eating. Once someone is eating closer to nature, and aware of their foods the weight loss will just happen.

The best diet in the world is pushing back from the table.
