The Oklahoma Water Resources Board recently approved the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
Part of the projects funded will involve improving oxygen levels in lakes that supply drinking water. Both Lake Thunderbird and Lake Wister will implement plans. Lake Wister’s plan involves removing deep water that is low in oxygen from the lake, and Lake Thunderbird will be using a system to oxygenate the water in the lake.
Another approved project will involve erosion control for several sites in the Illinois River and Eucha/Spavinaw Creek watersheds.
